The boring book I wish I'd written

Last Saturday my husband and I took our grandkids, ages 4 and 7, to the Thomas the Train tour. Raffy, the four-year-old, considers the smiley-faced train his "best friend" so he was in heaven. The Thomas books are the most boring books ever written, but what a marketing campaign. I don't think there's a kid in the country who doesn't have a Thomas or a Percy or one of the other toy trains, much less the whole set (like our grandkids have.)
